The girl, who was stabbed in the neck and arm, was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said, per Yonhap. The child was reported missing after she didn’t attend an after-school art class.
The teacher, who was being treated at the hospital, allegedly admitted to the stabbing while speaking with police, according to Yonhap.
Yonhap reported, citing police, that the teacher had returned to the school last year after taking a leave of absence due to depression. It’s unclear if the woman has been arrested or charged, nor if any motive has been ascertained.
