The little boy died on Jan. 29, four days after emergency medical services transported him to a hospital from a Lanett residence on Jan. 25th, per a press release from the Lanett Police Department.
According to the release, 911 received a call around 1:55 pm on Jan. 25 indicating that an infant was suffering a seizure at a home in the Old Jackson Heights Housing Project. Emergency personnel transported the baby to the East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC), and Nehemiah passed away four days later at the Children’s of Alabama Hospital, where he had been transferred.
The infant’s body will undergo an autopsy so officials can learn more about what happened to him, the press release states.
Pruitt is now behind bars as police continue to investigate, according to WRBL Columbus.
