A 15-year-old boy is charged with murder after authorities allege he fatally stabbed another teen at a high school in England.

The suspect, whom authorities did not name because of his age, is accused of stabbing Harvey Willgoose, 15, at All Saints Catholic High School in South Yorkshire, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Willgoose was stabbed on Monday, Feb. 3, prosecutors say. The BBC reported that he died shortly after police and paramedics were called.

Days before the stabbing, the BBC reported that the school’s head teacher had sent a message to parents telling parents that there had been a lockdown at All Saints because of “threatening behaviour between a small number of students.”

The BBC reported that police declined to share information regarding the lockdown at a press conference following the stabbing.

“This morning a teenage boy went to school like thousands of others across South Yorkshire but won’t come home,” South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard said, according to the BBC. “A young man who was a member of our community, with his whole life ahead of him.”

The suspect has also been charged with possession of a bladed article and one count of affray, according to the CPS.
